This collection of book covers and bookmarks act as a redesign for Stephen King's "Carrie," "Misery," and "Gerald's Game." The inspiration for this piece stemmed from King describing the main character of Carrie as a "frog amongst swans," along with the idea that the eyes act as the window to the soul. Branching off of this concept, each reptile (frog, alligator, snake) acts as a form of symbolism for characters within the book. Intended to drive the uncomfortable feeling invoked by horror, this piece highlighted macro imagery, a bold typeface with counters resembling eyes, and a day glow color scheme.
